About Us

Jaffie Aviation Training (SACAA/1201/ATO) is a SACAA‑approved ATO based at Robertson Airfield in the Western Cape winelands. We help each student reach their individual potential in aviation, with experienced instructors, well‑maintained aircraft and plenty of personal attention.

The school was founded by Oom Koos Liebenberg, a retired headmaster and citizen pilot who served for 28 years in the South African Air Force on Harvard’s and Impalas. Named after the donkey in a beloved book by Afrikaans writer Eitemal, Jaffie embodies humility, honesty and hard work.
